Ian is probably one of my favorite artists, he’s so kind and respectful. He’s interested in getting to know the people he tattoos, and he always makes an effort to make a client feel comfortable. I’ve been tattooed by him a few times now. Every time I feel better after (and NOT just because I look more cool after).
All that being said, this tattoo was a beast. It didn’t hurt to get done but my poor little ankle was swollen after LOL. Feels crispy still, good color saturation, and overall very happen still to this day.
The coverup was for a tattoo I was given with henna ink and a sewing needle done in the basement of my Dad’s house in West Virginia. Feels like a classic 16 year old experience. Thankfully when I showed my friends this set-up and we began holding “tattoo parties”, I only managed to walk away with a few forever reminders :,).
Big thanks for Ian for helping me grow up in a way!
